Around the world, crows gather on winter evenings in amazing numbers. The sounds and sights of these birds coming to roost is a absolute spectacle not to be missed.
Join bird whisperer and Corvid enthusiast Dan Gardoqui in the urban wilds of downtown Lawrence, Massachusetts, where we’ll watch, enjoy, and learn more about the annual winter roost of American Crows that can total up to 20,000 birds nightly! We’ll begin by looking for potential crow predators (peregrine falcons, cooper’s hawks and owls) as the sun sets. As the birds gather in pre-roosting aggregations, we’ll determine the final roosting location and set our selves up for the show.
