Guided Adventures in Nature
Would you like to better understand the world of birds and know what they are saying? Join Maine’s own “Bird Whisperer” for a custom birding experience like no other. Dan will help you learn how to talk with birds and interpret bird behavior. The best news: you don’t have to be a “bird nerd” to enjoy and understand this tour. Adults or families welcome!
Hire Dan for a guided tour you’ll never forget. Interested in the history of the landscape or deciphering the stories of wildlife on the landscape. Maybe you’re more into trees, wildflowers, foraging, birds or pollinators – we can focus on those topics too. This is truly a customizable experience. Adults or families are welcome!
All of our ancient ancestors were trackers. In fact, many anthropologists agree that developing skills as trackers is what led to early humans being able to read as well as practice early science. Join Certified Wildlife Tracker and tracker trainer Dan Gardoqui for an unforgettable experience that will help you see the natural world in a whole new light. Adults or families welcome!
Are you curious about wild foods and foraging? Does uncertainty and concern stop you from sampling healthy, wild foods? Experienced forager and naturalist Dan Gardoqui will help you learn how to find, harvest and safely consume healthy, wild foods. We’ll stroll the fields, forests and shorelines, all the while connecting with the wild plants, trees, fungi. Adults and families welcome!
Hunting Guide Services
Are you looking to add local, wild game to your diet? Maybe you didn’t grow up in a hunting household and need guidance in learning how to get started. My hunting guide services include:
- New Hunter Orientation: are you an adult-onset hunter? Via coaching calls and/or field visits, I can help you navigate your way towards becoming a hunter, including: legal requirements, wildlife natural history, choosing a weapon, scouting techniques, hunting tactics, game processing, etc.
- After the Hunt: maybe you know to hunt a deer, but are still sending it to a butcher. Learn how to store, age, skin, butcher and utilize most parts of your harvest on your own with helpful guidance.
- Guided Hunts: For those interested in a more traditional guided hunt for whitetail deer, wild turkey or small game (e.g. grey squirrel), or goose (dry land) please click the button below.
