There is a magical place in on the far reaches of the Maine Coast where the sun touches the rugged coastline of rocks, evergreen forests and remote wilderness. This is the Bold Coast.
Join Dan Gardoqui for an unforgettable 3-day weekend in one of Maine’s least-known and most beautiful regions. Explore natural wonders and hidden coves along this stunning coastline to see unique birds during the fall bird migration season. With Dan, you’ll learn about the unique coastal boreal habitats that support rare birds like Spruce Grouse and Boreal Chickadees.
Dan will meet you at a pre-determined location near Lubec, Maine for a Friday mid-afternoon of exploring and enjoying the sunset. On Saturday, you’ll take in a Bold Coast sunrise & morning session. After a relaxing siesta, we’ll reconvene for another pm/sunset session. Sunday we’ll catch our final sunrise and wrap up around noontime.
Note: This program requires moderate physical effort. You’ll be on foot for 6-8 hours each day on uneven hiking trails and hilly coastlines. While your guide will do his best to adapt the pace and course of travel to meet the needs of the group, this wknd requires that you have moderate physical conditioning and ability.
