  • Who? This is open to ALL adults and interested teens – of any skill level (including zero experience in tracking wildlife).
  • Fee: $375
  • Financial Access: The financial disparities that keep certain groups of people from having equal opportunities is particularly stark in the fields of environmental education, science, and conservation. TCNA is committed to doing our best to ensure that more people who desire it may attend our programs and trainings. This is a two-day deep-dive in the world of wildlife track and sign as seen through the eyes of a professional tracker and educator.  There will be ample time for thoughtful review of all topics covered over the weekend.  Improve your wildlife tracking and ecology skills and maybe take home a certification!

Learn to recognize tracks of mammals, birds, reptiles, and invertebrates on your landscape, and to interpret animal movement and behavior. The practice of wildlife tracking reveals a hidden world of animal sign, and develops the ability to find subtle evidence of animal presence. In short, this skill set facilitates knowledge on a remarkable variety of life in an ecosystem.

Instructor: Nate Harvey is a fabulous educator. He works for CyberTracker Conservation, running both Trailing and Track & Sign evaluations and workshops.  Additionally, he teaches wildlife trailing in workshops near his home in southern Vermont and around the country.
